Student Stories

From our students

“I finally speak, not just study”

I’d tried apps for years and could never hold a conversation. Three evenings a week with a real teacher and a small group changed that in a few months.

Karina · Vancouver
“Got the TEF score I needed”

I needed French results for my permanent residence application. The B2 exam prep — especially the timed mocks and the feedback — is what got me over the line.

Yezmin · Toronto
Questions

Good to know before you start

Can I sit in on a class before I pay?

Yes — you can book a trial class for just $14 CAD. Your teacher uses it to understand your goals and gauge your level, so you land in the right group from day one.

How do you know which level I should join?

A short placement test before you start, and a level check at the end of each course. If your foundation needs shoring up, we may suggest extending or repeating a level rather than rushing ahead.

Who teaches the classes?

Certified francophone teachers with proven classroom experience. We screen for both credentials and teaching quality, then match you with a teacher who fits your level and goals.

What do I need to join a class?

A computer with an up-to-date browser and headphones — that’s it. Classes run in our virtual classroom with live video, shared materials and interactive exercises.

None of the time slots work for me. Now what?

Send us a request with your availability. We open new slots when enough students ask for them, and private 1-on-1 lessons can be scheduled around almost any calendar.

Can I switch teachers or move groups?

Yes. If the fit isn’t right — teacher, pace or schedule — tell us and we’ll rearrange things. No awkward conversations needed.

Not sure where to start? Ask us.
